Ouch! My PB302 doesn't mount over USB any more...

@jackie_w

I tried method 3 and it worked fine. I tried a couple of times editing the userStyle1.css for correcting the line-spacing. I would have probably done this about 3 times. All of a sudden an unrelated problem started happening: When I plug the device into USB, my computer seems to recognize only the miniSD card. Earlier it used to recognize, PB's root directory (the one that contains /system) as well. Now I seem to have lost access to this drive.

Initially I thought it probably is some issue with my comp and had both the device and the computer powered off and then retried still it wouldn't recognize PBs drive. It only recognized the miniSD card. I also tried rebooting the device and then removing the miniSD. Then I attached it to the comp, still doesn't detect PBs drive. I infer that the USB is fine as the device is recognized however the disk alone doesn't mount. IOW, it shows up as F: in my comp, but when I open it, it complains that there is no media in it.
So this kind of tells me there is some problem mounting the device. I switched over to poterm in the PB and checked its mounts. It had the drives mounted correctly. (IOW: I was able to see both /mnt/ext1 and /mnt/ext2. ext1 is the one that doesn't get detected on the comp.) The PB302 itself doesn't seem to have trouble accessing the drive. It is able to access the books in it et all. However it doesn't seem to be able to export it over usb.

To debug furthur I again had it connected through usb, the drive didn't show up as usual. I then disconnected the usb and through poterm got the output of dmesg. Here is what I see:

I'm not sure if this signifies sectors going bad... but its way to early for the disks to be going bad. I've had the device just for a couple of months now. All that I've done is copied over a few books.

Any suggestions pointers will help.
