The books that are multiformat are DRM free, and you can download the epub to your Sony. The encrypted ebooks are in the eReader format, which is a proprietary format that is primarily sold only at Fictionwise and eReader.com. If you are OK with removing DRM and have the tools commonly associated with Apprentice Alf, you can convert them to epub via Calibre, but you will not be able to read them on your Sony without the DRM removal tools.
