You should definitely give him a shot, Harry. I consider
Tigana and
The Lions of Al-Rassan his best works (although
Lions could arguably be considered Historical Fiction).
As I mentioned in another thread... Christopher Tolkien enlisted Guy Gavriel Kay's help in finishing
The Silmarillion.
