King Louis XI’s daughter is married to a jealous, abusive husband. She loves a young noblemen, who takes a post in the house of the King’s jeweller, the miserly Maître Cornelius, in order to be near her.
But there is a jewel theft on the night the young man arrives. The King turns detective with surprising results.
