He sort-of hints at what will be their biggest challenge: Developer attention.

App developers will preferentially go with the biggest install base: iOS, Android head that list. Microsoft is a distant third, though growing fast with the Windows leverage. Blackberry starts out 4th.

By the time the start-up with the next "cool" app gets to them, the app may no longer be all that new or cool.

A steep climb ahead at best.
