You are on to something there. Most of the short-term prime ministers are the ones that take over once the proverbial muck has hit the oscillating thing on the ceiling. Both Kim Campbell and John Turner inherited the public annoyance.

Joe Clark is however, incorrect. Joe Who served a staggering 273 days, putting him fourth in the race for shortest running prime minister.
