Didn't catch your inflection before, but you seem to be saying either that people are correcting their mistakes (which they haven't) or that I didn't use modifiers carefully enough (which is probably true). If you're saying the second thing, then how does this work for you?:
"I only mention the error because I've seen it repeated several times on this very thread. Once you can identify a mistake, it becomes that much easier to fix."
(I'm using first and second person because I don't wish to point to individuals.)
