Question Dear Apple, do you really need to fake reality?

Third generation iPad, at this point all the young and less young people in the world know it. Huge sells are guaranteed again. Do they need to fake reality to gain more appeal?

Please take a look at their main video for the web, from 3:09 to 3:43: http://www.apple.com/ipad/#video (Resolutionary...)

We see a guy enjoying the incredibily crisp images of his new beautiful iGadget, on the beach, taking phot...Wait, what?! On the beach? In reality that display would be hardly readable, it'd appear from dark as coffee to almost unusable.

(the picture is from an article where the author meant to show how actually usable is the iPad2 in outdoors, I could have linked far worse pictures than this)

Why faking reality? After some years of tablet use, the potential buyers of the iPad will be generally aware of its characteristics , they've accustomed to it. After all, there aren't many alternatives if you're after a tablet to use in outdoors: Pixel Qi displays didnt convince enough the big market, and all the other tablets just have the same handicap.

So again, of what use is this roughly faking reality? Of what use is this misleading advertising? Is that a kind of narcisism? Maybe someone at Apple thinks that iPad owners couldn't accept it for what it really is, like they slept for years, and they could suddenly get up?

EDIT 02/17/12
will add vids of the new ipad in outdoors:

a late winter sun in Germany kisses ipad 2 and 3

Another outdoor visibility test from Germany (skip to 0:55)

Result:
New ipad's readability in outdoors seems exaclty the same of the previous iPad2. Unreadable with direct sunlight, from very dark to dark screen in the shade.
