Update...
Cannot uninstall Kindle Reader V3.1 from device because it was factory install so installing V3.3 will not allow selection of where it is installed or where data is installed.
I'm sending the Amazon technical response to Viewsonic in the hope that they will do a fix (firmware, whatever) to enable users to get around this problem.
Will update further.
