Just tossing out an idea here:

Are either of you, that are experiencing this issue, by chance, sitting around reading with an active cell phone in a pocket with wireless or bluetooth activated?

I use various gadgets and find that sometimes a cell signal from tower to phone, or wireless, or bluetooth might interfere with an LCD/speakers/etc.
