I don't like treating those two companies as if they were public infrastructure or regulated utilities.

You think it's bad that Government wants to regulate the web, or that Google has too much pull here and Amazon too much pull there? What do you think will happen if Facebook effectively BECOMES the web, and Zuckerberg has all the control?
