I recently got a refurbished Kindle 2(US) and the screen seems to be a lot lower contrast than my wife's Nook wifi. It's not a font smoothing issue, the background on the nook screen looks much whiter than the kindle which looks rather gray in comparison.

Since both e-readers are supposed to have the same screen technology I'm wondering if the Kindle I got has a bad screen. Has anyone else who has used both e-readers noticed anything similar?
