I'm afraid "equally viable" as in capable of being used to complete productive tasks that will commonly be known as "work"... it does not mean the same... bats and birds have equally viable methods of flying but they are not the same... equal is the same. equally viable means equally usable in the workplace but not necessarily for the same things... I wouldn't care to use an iPad for running a nuclear power station but have no problems doing editing and proofing with an Android tablet...
