I installed 0.7.46.
Start it.
Runs for a minute or less than goes away.

I uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled and same problem.

When I run from a command prompt the command:
calibre-debug -g

I get a lot of message concerning freetype code, then an error. Here's the tail end of the output:
