XML Hack for Locking 0-9 Keys?

Does anybody have an idea how to make a simple keyboard lock function? My problem is that I accidentally (and often) press 0-9 buttons while I carry Reader switched on. Then I need to navigate through the history to find the place in the book where I stopped reading.

My idea is to press "0" for 5 seconds, and all 0-9 keys will be locked (other keys can be locked as well, but it's not so crucial).
And again, press and hold "0" to unlock.

Can this be done in XML hack?

PS: I just realized I don't use 0-9 keys while reading at all, so just disabling them at all would satisfy me as well
