That's not exactly a new idea - it was extremely common in Victorian times to do exactly that. Every respectable "middle class" home had a library, and there was a thriving business in supplying complete "libraries". Didn't matter what the books were - they were never intended to be read - they were any old rubbish rebound in handsome leather bindings. Solely there for "show".
