I ended up at MOCA (both branches) at the end of last week. Some of the stuff I loved, some I hated -- but still respected as there was something there. And the rest was a giant question mark -- I have a serious problem, it appears, with "rubbish art" (that is art made from apparently random junk objects with no apparent rhyme or reason). The more modern it gets the harder it is to understand; it almost seems as if no-one has heard of the emperor's new clothes, and is using that principle to come up with art.
Still, it was well worth the visit.
