I add that IMVHO PanelView (which is actually a basic magnification) has been added to overcome the need for turning device portait-landscape-portrait when reading a single comic, so it's quite pointless having mixed orientation pages into the same mobi.
You should try with page splitting OR disable landscape - since landscape gives you the same PV magnification.
