yes, I know... which is also late for "harvest". then again, "Christmas" as the celebration we know really wasn't celebrated as the blow out holiday it is now until Victorian times.
I've always felt sorry for December and January birthday people. my Dad, sis, 3 of 3 cousins on one side and 5 of 7 cousins on the other are all July babies. both of my kids are September. there's never been a lot of competition for the winter holidays. it's just as well... it'd only get in the way of ski season!
