I know, H.G. Wells writings are available via Project Gutenberg and on the Adelaide Uni etext site:

But to celebrate the birthday of H.G. Wells (21 Sept 1866) BooksOnBoard are offering the Time Machine for free - in ePub, ADE and Mobi formats. So if you want to save yourself the trouble of converting the free HTML or TXT versions to whatever format you like, and want to try your new ePub/ADE or Mobi firmware, but don't want to pay for the privilege, then you can grab a free copy:
