It's the fonts they choose. Try using the Amasis one that I use on my Kindle. It's looks great!
Of course this will only work if the epub is set to not use any other font in the CSS sheet. I modify mine before adding them on there. Keep in mind they haven't fixed the bold or italics it will still show in the default font but other then that it works great!
