don't know what's your problem, but you can try this (final) solution:

So you should install the old update, as in link, and if all work fine, install the latest update.
This will "format sistem memory", so save to pc your books and files, first (also the .onyx folders if you are interested in).
If the problem is in the software, this will be resolved. If the problem is due to your book, or some hardware issue... please provide more info!

there might be an easier or faster or more secure way to solve it, but this should works.
If you are unsure, you can just wait for others useful answers.
