I'd rather the Simone de Beauvoir win, but it doesn't look as if that's going to happen. Failing that, I'd like to see A Study in Scarlet for the reasons orlok and crich70 mentioned. I've read Animal Farm more than once; the last time being much more recently than the Holmes, and that first Sherlock Holmes story is hard to beat for sheer enjoyment.
