One of the things I've seen that proves the value of that thinking is that kids who normally do not like to read will read about things they are interested in for hours. Likewise if we involve math with other things, sports perhaps, students get more interested in it. Of course making things that custom, to each student's interests, is all but impossible in the real world. But perhaps students today will develop the software that allows for much more customizable learning in the future.

Bill also talks about other areas, medicine for one, that software can change the world. There are lots of problems left for computers to help solve.
