Samaniego, Félix M.: Fábulas en verso castellano. (Spanish) v1 12 Oct 2012
"Fábulas en verso castellano para el uso del Real Seminario Vascongado" (Fables in Castillian verse for use of the Royal Basque Seminar) is a collection of fables (stories with moral, with animals and objects as characters) written in verse by Félix María Samaniego, a Spanish writer with this only work known. The fables were first published in 1781, and they are collected in 9 books. Most of the fables are translations and adaptations of works by other authors such as Aesop or La Fontaine. "El perro y el cocodrilo" (The Dog and the Crocodile) and "Las moscas" (The Flies) are two of the best known fables included here.
