Thank you for your reply. As mentioned in the initial post, it's only possible to install alternative browsers in 2 of the 3 computers in question (one runs Windows RT, which is not an x86-based flavour of Windows), and on top of that we're satisfied with IE10 in other regards. My hope is that we need to change a security setting or clear a cache or other some such.
