Yes, it is misleading. But everyone does it. Whenever you see products with displays, they pretty much always touch it up, especially in commercials. You'll sometimes see disclaimers saying that it's just a representation.

I'm not sure where that photo originated from but I'm pretty sure those are artifacts. If it were touched up, it would look better than that if it wasn't compressed.
