Calibre for school library

I'm new here...I'm a school librarian and I'm using Calibre to create a digital library for students.
So far so good. It's really great for all the texts in public domain.

Now I'll like to try a new step : how to offer to my students recent books without breaking any law.
Anyone found a solution ?

OUr online Calibre library has already a password ( because an autor gave his text) I would prefer an open access to all users and a restricted acces to some books.

Anyone has a solution or better options ?

Another problem :
Can I buy DRM free books from Calibre Catalog and allow access to 1000 students ?

Thanks for your help
