There is a way to do this. I found this online

http://kindle.amazon.com, an online tool that enables you to do just that.
To try it out, go to
http://kindle.amazon.com, sign in with your Amazon account, and simply select one of your books where you have added highlights or notes.
We hope you enjoy this new feature."
There is also a site where you can log in on your computer and see all of your notes but I cannot find the link for it.
