Yes, it's the "Order series shelves" function. It uses the "Date Added" sort for a collection to show the books in the series order.
When you run the function, it displays the list of all collections on the device whose name matches the series name for books on the device. When you press OK on the dialog, the shelf entries in the database for each book is modified so that dates are in order. When you view the collection, you need to choose the "Date Added" sort to display the books in the sort order. There is an option to set the order in the config file for each shelf.
