I want to make my ebooks available on smashwords. They are currently available for Kindle and I have the .mobi files.

Is it possible to convert the .mobi files to epub?

It looks like maybe Calibre can do it, but can I then take the epub file and upload it for sale with a distributor like smashwords or B&N?

Complete beginner with this process, so all help appreciated.
