cleber, it is *possible* to recompile a J-E dictionary to include romaji index for each headword. This way it does not require Kindle hacking. You will be using the standard keyboard layout for looking up Japanese words using romaji.

The alternative of hacking the Kindle and making a Japanese keyboard entry and Japanese search function is far more difficult and would require some hardcore programmers.
