Same for me (not sure if I learned that or if it's the natural way I read).

I read a lot, but I read very few books, especially not in my leisure time, which I would like .
I have a Master degree in mechanical engineering and I am currently doing a PhD; maybe one of the reason I do not find the "energy" to read books during my spare-time. However, I noticed that I am a voracious reader on other supports, like online articles, forums, etc.

For what concerns a potential relationship between reading and education, I believe reading is one of some powerful means to acquire knowledge, especially theoretical and general ones; overall, to satisfy one's curiosity and thirst for knowledge.
Nevertheless, in this regard I think it is important not to distinguish education substantiated by a degree from self-education. Then the relationship is more likely, even if not definitive.
