Linux geek, newbie ereader

Hi all,
I have been running nothing but Linux for the past 9 years, so when I discovered the thread offering Kobo software to Linux users I was thrilled. I started with Red Hat, Linspire and since 2004 have been using Ubuntu, currently 10.04.

I have yet to buy an ereader but Kobo is near the top of my list. If the software will work on my laptop I'll get one. My local library has a link to a Province wide ebook collection that is slowly getting built up and they say Kobo will work (if you have Windows or Mac). The stumbling block is DRM and registration of the device of course.

I hope that is enough of an introduction - now to make a nuisance of myself on the Kobo/Linux thread....

John.
