Thanks Kovid, I If needed, I will send source files etc to the bug report area. In the meantime, it looks like the error only appears with text file over 10,000 lines long, this also ties in with numbers showing up in my output EPUB.

I wonder if an internal counter has been set or something like that, in either the txt converter or the markdown converter?

Other files I have processed with the same settings have worked a treat, but they have been much smaller.
