@Kado: I do not have a Nook Classic, but according to the sources below, if you are creating a "my fonts" folder on the root of internal SD cards user partition(which can be seen as a disk from your PC) and copy Liberation font files into it, the line in the css font-face directives should read as

src: url('res:///system/media/sdcard/my fonts/LiberationSerif-Regular.ttf')
the other path

res:///system/fonts/
seems to be the hidden system partition and can only be reached via adb.
