Goal is to read or re-read some classics I never read or have completely forgotten. From "fun" ones, like Dumas, to empty spots in my education, such as Edith Wharton. But while I do this, I really, really want to cut down my TBR list. Like pdurrant, I have a problem with buying more than I read.

I'll use this thread to keep track of both goals, by listing my books read and by keeping score on the buy/read ratio. (Note: this list of books in the TBR list is not comprehensive, since it only includes the first couple of books in several large series that I expect to read all of in 2012. But we'll adjust the list as required.
