I would suggest using an MP3 player to listen to the audiobook. Then you can get the Kindle edition and read along on your Kindle while you listen to it on your MP3 player.

Perhaps some day Amazon will combine the two functions on Kindle in such a way that you can do it without two devices. But for now, that is not possible.
