Concerning the screen corruption problem:
I plan to use a different approach in version 4 - the lock state screen will be displayed for 10 secs with a countdown and then doc refresh will be forced via DBus, that should restore the screen on all models.
The lock state will be also dumped to "documents/backdoorlog/Back Door Lock state.txt" if, and only if, subdirectory "documents/backdoorlog" exists. Thus you will be able to turn this feature on/off just by creating/deleting the subfolder.
