I assumed that was the way it was supposed to fit LOL. In any case, I suggest using a chassis skin that covers the spine or just apply some 3M (these adhesives rarely have residue) adhesive tape on the length of the spine.

Have to admit a little R&D in materials research does do wonders. Everything 3M just lasts so much longer than no name crap.
