There are plenty of DRM free ebook formats available free or for purchase.

Calibre does not provide ANY methodology to remove DRM from a ebook. It will only allow conversion or adjustment of metadata on DRM free ebooks.

Blame those who create the DRM removal scripts before singling out Calibre.
