Just to expand on what afv011 said, you should download and install Nook for PC and follow instructions. Once you have done that you can access all your purchased B&N books via that program. The epub files themselves are then on your PC, although it is kind of meaningless to have them, IMHO.

You are backed up by the B&N website. There doesn't seem to be much point in backing them up yourself, IMHO, since you are beholding to B&N for access to them as long as they have DRM on them. Amazon and Kindle are the same in this respect.

The only really reliable way to backup your epubs independent of B&N is to remove the DRM from them, making them plain epub files. Then you can back them up yourself in a meaningful way. Some would argue that this is a valid reason for DRM removal. Search this forum and use an internet search to find out how to do this if you are interested.
