The easiest way to get the IP is to call "ipconfig" from a command line. It'll probably be called something like "LAN-connection 2".
Or go to "Network and sharing center"->"Adapter settings" -> right-click on the connection (there should be at least two) -> Status -> Details
It can take one or two minutes until windows gets the correct IP. I have no idea why, but it seens the first DHCP request doesn't get through and the next one takes a while.
