Once you get it converted, you can
try a EPUB->EPUB convert with smaller sized splits
or
you can Use Sigil on the EPUB and see if it will allow you to split up that big chunk
once you get it converted. (note: Sigil has no segment file size indicator. Guess from the size of the scroll bar / Split in logical places.
Then use Tweak EPUB in Calibre to
explode the book and
just look at the file sizes in the Text folder, then cancel-out of tweak.)
