oh and actually i have tried the déjà vu fonts. the serif has a very complete character set which is why i chose it to start with (i needed some relatively obscure glyphs and i couldn't find them in any other font). they're very nice, but overall i prefer fontin. i'll keep déjà vu for that one specific book though, and i might go back to them in future.
