Spot on, it is the Nook first Edition I currently have. Thanks for the recommendations from yourself and others for the newer Nook Touch. I''ll have a look at that, the only thing I see in the reviews to dislike is the difficulty of organising a large library with Calibre etc. not able to do that to do that off the machine - but I found a post suggesting a workaround on that.
