Wouldn't mind if the Sherlock Holmes wins, as it is a looong time since I last visited that particular piece of work. Think I'll read the Simone de Beauvoir anyway, as that'll be a first for me and way outside my normal reading material.

I'd rather the Simone de Beauvoir win, but it doesn't look as if that's going to happen. Failing that, I'd like to see
A Study in Scarlet for the reasons orlok and crich70 mentioned. I've read
Animal Farm more than once; the last time being much more recently than the Holmes, and that first Sherlock Holmes story is hard to beat for sheer enjoyment.
