Granted, it's not meant to be an e-book reader (yet), but it looks very much like it could become one. Seiko Epson demonstrated the prototype of an E Ink panel at the
Epson Exceeding in Culture Forum this week that looks quite astonishing. The specs are nice, too:
- Display: 7,1" (131mm x 98mm), 1024x768 or 1536x2048 pixels (there seem to be two versions out there)
- 5 greylevels
- 45% reflexion
- 0.5mm thick
- weight: 15g
Btw, it seems to be the same prototype that was also shown at last year's SID exhibit.
