Diese "Reisefrüchte aus dem Oriente" (Untertitel) erschienen 1893 als Band 10 der "Gesammelten Reiseerzählungen".

Es handelt sich dabei um einen Sammelband, der acht Einzelerzählungen zusammenfasst, die bereits zuvor an anderer Stelle veröffentlicht worden waren.
