When you say "nothing else happens", don't try sliding the power switch again. You must WAIT. But perhaps you've already done that.
I suspect Amazon will just send you a replacement. I haven't heard yet of them charging anyone who replaced their Kindle that had the SS hack installed when they sent it back.
